Job Context:
∎ Water & Life Bangladesh (W&L Bangladesh) is a non-profit organization, created by the French NGO Eau et Vie. The NGO is active in Bangladesh to improve the living condition of Urban Slum dwellers implementing Water Network, Firefighting, Hygiene promotion, Sanitation and Solid waste management activities.
∎ W&L Bangladesh works in close association with the social business company Shobar Jonno Pani (SJP), created by Eau et Vie, which is specialized in safe water supply for lower income community who do not have access to water in Bangladesh, aiming at creating quality-controlled piped and metered water supply networks, which are financially viable, socially responsible and adapted to the needs of urban low-income community.
∎ Both W&L Bangladesh and SJP engaged in partnerships with the local communities, authorities, water operator and other development stakeholders through two branches one in Dhaka and the other one in Chattogram.
∎ TYPE: Permanent
∎ LOCATION: Based in HO, Banani, Dhaka with frequent visits outside Dhaka
∎ REPORTING TO: Country Director
∎ COORDINATION WITH: The Department Heads, Technical Advisors in France, all teams in the branches and at the Head Office.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ As part of the local Executive Committee and under the supervision of the Country Director, the Program Manager of Water & Life Bangladesh is responsible for W&L program development and implantation including monitoring in all the branches across the country.
∎ The main responsibilities are the following:
∎ Supervise activities of the local NGO - hygiene awareness sessions, firefighting and emergency management, community empowerment, Solid Waste and Sanitation pilot studies/projects - according to Eau et Vie's standards and strategy,
∎ Closely work with the M&E Manager to ensure that adequate M&E tools and processes are in place, and facilitate the adoption of harmonized methodologies for monitoring and reporting. Make sure Monitoring and Evaluation processes are well implemented throughout the project management cycle.
∎ With support from HQs Technical Advisors and the Country Director, lead the discussion in shaping/improving the strategic direction of Water and Life Bangladesh programs.
∎ Provide opportunities for effective learning, sharing, and innovation, through reflection and regular dialogue among program teams.
∎ Conduct regular visits to the branches and project sites to monitor program performance. Provide feedback to staff on gaps and areas for improvement and identify needs for ongoing capacity building.
∎ Participate to the fundraising and partnerships development, in close contact with the dedicated team - based locally and in France,
∎ Develop technical partnerships in relevance with the scope of action of W&L.
∎ Be autonomous and reliable on all Water and Life activities' management.
∎ Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of NGO projects.
∎ LINGUISTIC SKILLS
∎ Fully proficiency in Bengali and English is compulsory.
∎ Knowledge of French would be a strong asset.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6-8 years of proven experience in the development sector including international programs - out of which at least 3 years' experience of overall program management (including HR and financial management).
Salary:
∎ BDT 80,000 to 90,000 (depends on candidate`s skills and experiences)
