Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non government organization working in coastal area of Bangladesh since 2000 with a view to ensure quality education, humanitarian response and rights of poor, adolescent and excluded people. The organization is implementing "Community Engagement Project funded by World Vision Bangladesh at community level of 2 unions of Amtali Upazila and Amtali Pourashava under Barguna district. It`s a long term program and in this current program NSS is seeking a Program Manager to implement the program activities. The PM is responsible for daily oversight of the program activities including close monitoring and coordination with Donor`s assigned person and NSS Management.
∎ Job Location: Amtali Upazila of Barguna district.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinating, Planning & monitoring the overall progress of the project activities to achieve the project Objectives & Goal.
∎ Oversee the assigned daily programs and develop schedule activities in accordance with funding limitations
∎ Develop publication and other end products of program and coordinate high quality of execution of these products like bill boards, brochure, poster, handbill, presentation etc.
∎ Recruit and select program participants, members, volunteers using appropriate tools and methods and empowering the Community by Establishing CBOs for their access to rights.
∎ Lead the Team members to ensuring appropriate beneficiary selection process; community needs assessments and skill capacity analysis utilization of provided available resources, tools and equipment.
∎ Strong capacity to influence policy maker and government officials and public representatives .
∎ Basic knowledge on advocacy and lobby
∎ Develop monitoring & working plan to achieve the successful project outcomes
∎ Ensuring CBOs group, VDC, Child Forum, CMC development and conduct training on leadership for their self-capacity building.
∎ Coordinate closely with community based program, project related dept. authorities, UNOs, local govt. including Upazila& Union Parishad.
∎ Establish and maintain close working relationship with the Government, NGOs and donors to foster a learning environment through the project implementation process
∎ Prepare the project planning, coordination, reporting and documentation of meetings, workshops, seminars and other activities of the project, focusing on the technical aspects.
∎ Ensuring & closely monitoring the provided alternative child well-being support facilities &their families life savings support.
∎ Support the project's/program's initiative to provide professional advice and input and to cooperate with a wide range of stakeholders and target groups
∎ Coordinate closely with NGOs, community members (gender oriented and child focused), business sector, other technical consultants as well as local government stakeholders.
∎ Collect, update and process information related to impact monitoring of child well-being related impact indicators.
∎ Periodically present document and results in team meetings and events for Supporting public relations activities for the project
∎ Producing monthly, quarterly, & annual donor report and presentation them at the donor quarter/annual progress review meeting
∎ Evaluate program effectiveness and Monitor program expenditure ensuring budget allocations are adhere to
Additional Requirements:
∎ An advanced university degree preferably MSS/Masters in Management /Anthropology Development studies and English Literature .
∎ Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant program management in development sector
∎ Skilled in motor cycle driving with valid driving license
∎ High level of IT skills especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point other graphical software with internet communication
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ Excellent Training skill with proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Experience in liaison and networking with regional level GoB and NGOs
∎ In case of experience age may be considered
∎ S/he has to sign Gender policy, Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding policy and Anti Corruption Declaration .
∎ Age limit: Not over 45
Salary:
∎ TK. 45,000 with other benefits as per project budget
