Context:
The Pro Shop Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop, SuperGolf’s premier golf retail destination. This role oversees all retail activities, including merchandise sales, inventory management, visual merchandising, and guest service. The Pro Shop Manager also manages the golf simulator area, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. This position drives retail revenue, maintains brand standards, and leads a team of retail and simulator staff.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Sales
· Achieve monthly and annual retail sales targets set by management.
· Implement upselling and cross-selling strategies to increase average transaction value.
· Monitor sales performance by category (apparel, equipment, accessories) and adjust strategies accordingly.
Club Fitting Services
· Conduct professional club fitting sessions for drivers, irons, wedges, putters, and full sets.
· Manage the club fitting appointment calendar and coordinate with the Equipment Specialist.
· Conduct post-delivery club verification (specifications, swing weight, loft/lie adjustments.
Inventory Management
· Manage all Pro Shop inventory, including apparel, golf equipment, accessories, and consumables.
· Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
· Track inventory shrinkage and implement loss prevention measures.
Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
· Create and update product displays to highlight new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal items.
· Coordinate with the Marketing team on window displays and seasonal themes.
· Ensure all pricing and promotional signage is accurate and prominently displayed.
Simulator Operations
· Manage the simulator booking schedule to maximize utilization.
· Ensure Simulator Hosts are trained on all simulator features and game modes.
· Monitor simulator revenue and occupancy, and report on performance.
Team Leadership & Development
· Conduct daily shift huddles and weekly team meetings.
· Ensure all team members complete required training (product knowledge, POS, safety).
· Train Pro Shop staff on basic club fitting concepts (grip sizing, length fundamentals, launch monitor interpretation).
Guest Service & Experience
• Personally greet and assist guests, providing product recommendations and fitting support.
· Build relationships with regular guests and members to drive loyalty.
· Educate guests on the value of custom club fitting and its impact on their game.
