∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the community. Founded with the motto of `Divine and Humanitarian Service`, over 62 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people`s capacities to multi-dimensional field programs and inner potentials. DAM`s current diversified works encompass multi-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health and economic development sectors in Bangladesh.
∎ Ahsania Mission Polytechnic Institute, Jashoreaffiliated by Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), Ministry of Education at 2021 and start the 4 years diploma course Computer Technology, Civil Technology and Computer Technology. The institute is well equipped with the all training materials and resources. The Ahasania Mission Polytechnic Institute is going to admit student from the session of 2021-2022.
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Invites applications for the Principle Position for immediate appointment of Ahsania Mission Polytechnic Institute(AMPI), Jashore.
∎ Duty Station: Jashore with including frequent field visit.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Outstanding analytical and writing skills and proven ability to quickly understand complex challenges and propose solutions in organized, articulate concept papers, reports, and proposals.
∎ Understanding of development programs with special focus on TVET program.
∎ Understanding of the polytechnic courses of BTEB.
∎ Knowledge of assessment or exam system of BTEB.
∎ Relation with the BTEB and other stakeholder.
∎ Team facilitation and mentoring skill.
∎ Annual review, reflection, reporting and representation.
∎ Coordination and communication and well conversant in English language.
∎ Conformity in working with groups of poor, marginalized and socially excluded people
∎ Sensitive to local and national development and clear understanding of the TVET sector development in Bangladesh.
∎ Actively supports work improvement by work and deed.
∎ Team and trust building.
∎ Regularly shares knowledge on new international best practice trends.
∎ Proactively applies relevant international best practices to own work.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ At least 5 years
∎ Retired Govt Principle would be preferred
∎ Local experienced candidate would be preferred
∎ Have excellent computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, Excel).
∎ Have strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
∎ Good team lead.
∎ Able to work under pressure.
∎ Fluent in both spoken and written English and Bengali.
∎ Strong knowledge of local ethnic issues and proven experience engaging local community.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relationships with stakeholders with different cultural backgrounds.
∎ Specialized experience on TVET and skills development and Education in national or International organization/s.
∎ Minimum 5 years of work experience within the field of education as TVET or Education Program Manager, Master Trainer of formal or Non-Formal education program.
∎ Experience in implementation of TVET program in different sub-sectors.
∎ Received Basic &ToT training on CBTA or Non-Formal Primary Education Program from reputed organizations.
∎ Practical knowledge and skills in Interpersonal communication & facilitation.
∎ Experience with capacity building of staff, and in convening and facilitating Seminar/workshops.
∎ Experience in Budgeting for TVET program.
∎ Excellent analytical and report writing skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Thorough knowledge in pedagogy of Multi-grade Teaching Learning Approach.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills; familiarity with MSWord, Excel, Power Point; Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative; ability to be a team player.
Salary: Tk. 40000 - 50000 (Monthly)
