Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the kitchen in charge.
∎ Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
∎ Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
∎ Developing new recipes for seasonal menus.
∎ Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure a beautiful and tasteful presentation.
∎ Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.
∎ Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget.
∎ Ensuring all the pastry & bakery kitchen sections are safe.
∎ Prepare dough for pies, pizza, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
∎ Bake mixed doughs and batters.
∎ Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods.
∎ Supervising and training staff members, when needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
