Additional Requirements:
- Age At least 30 years
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
- Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and managing Oracle Database (versions 12c, 19c, 21c and above).
- Strong practical experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
- Solid experience in database performance tuning and optimization (SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning).
- Proficiency in RMAN backup and recovery operations.
- Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure and Clusterware management.
- Working knowledge of other RDBMS like MySQL, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Additional Skill:
- Oracle Database Certification, Oracle RAC certification.
- Experience on the Oracle Engineered system will be given preference.
- Manage customers in difficult situations and deliver required service.
- Incidence and daily report preparing.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context:
We are seeking a highly competent Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize enterprise database systems. The incumbent will ensure database reliability, performance, and compliance with organizational standards while supporting mission-critical applications. This role requires technical excellence, analytical precision, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic IT environment.
Key Responsibility:
- Database Management & Administration:
- Install, configure, patch, and manage Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases primarily on Oracle Linux and other platforms.
- Administer and ensure high availability of complex Oracle environments including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Golden Gate.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
- Configure, manage, and monitor Active Data Guard, data replication, and mirroring solutions between primary data centers and disaster recovery sites to ensure real-time data synchronization and business continuity.
- Performance & Tuning:
- Perform proactive and on-demand database performance tuning.
- Conduct SQL tuning, implement effective indexing strategies, manage table partitioning, and gather optimizer statistics.
- Analyze and update database parameters for optimal performance.
- Backup, Recovery & Security:
- Design, implement, and manage robust backup strategies using RMAN and Data Pump, strictly adhering to organizational backup policies.
- Perform timely database restore and recovery operations as required for data loss prevention.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor database servers, alerts, and cluster services using Oracle Grid Infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct detailed log analysis of various database and cluster logs.
- Operational Excellence:
- Willingness to provide on-call support and work extra hours when necessary to address critical production issues and meet project deadlines.
