Job Context:
∎ Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, Operations Field Coordinator is responsible for:
∎ The coordination of Solid Waste services
∎ The coordination of Latrine service
∎ The coordination with Community: inform the community about the works and activities of SJP, solve the field community issues and negotiate to collect the arrears
∎ The supervision of the Fee and Waste collection, and the operation of the latrines
∎ Supports the water services when required
∎ He/She works in close collaboration with the Operations Field Coordinator (Water Services), Encoding and Administrative Coordinator (EAC) and (Water) Operations Field Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ OPERATIONS FIELD ACTIVITIES:
∎ Clients management:
∎ Orient and inform the dwellers about SJP services
∎ Ensure a good relationship with clients and ensure that the services are running well
∎ Promote the SJP services
∎ Enroll new clients to reach the objectives of SJP
∎ Follow up the default clients and pending contract and close the water line if needed
∎ Monitor the field activities
∎ Support the water Operations field coordination to ensure in coordination with the technical team a good maintenance of the water network
∎ Ensure the daily waste collection by organizing and supervising the waste collectors
∎ Ensure the availability and good maintenance of the work tools of the team
∎ Ensure that the waste collection process is well done and understood by all
∎ Ensure the proper cleaning of the latrines by organizing and supervising the caretakers
∎ COMMUNITY COORDINATION:
∎ Inform personally the leaders when a new activity will be performed. Go with the Branch Manager when needed
∎ Assist the Branch and the Program Managers to organize the Community meetings
∎ Visit the on-going works to check that everything is going well. Give feedbacks to the Branch Manager
∎ Go often to the field with each collector to see how they work and reinforce them
∎ SUPERVISION OF THE COLLECTION:
∎ In link with the BM and the EAC, organize and supervise the collectors and the collection process. Must ensure that collectors have all what they need to do their work and work in proper conditions.
∎ If the collectors face any difficult issues, have to support them and, if necessary, go to the field to facilitate and orientate them
∎ Report to BM and PM about collection issues and dysfunctions
∎ Coordinate with the EAC for all that is related to meter reading lists and collection lists
∎ Validate fee collection in terms of target versus achievement from software.
∎ Take part in the preparation of the Weekly Reports with the EAC: check the data with the Branch Manager to see if it's coherent.
