Responsibilities & Context:
Cost Analysis & Reporting: Calculate and analyze fixed and variable costs (labor, materials, overhead) to determine actual expenses versus standard costs.
Inventory & Valuation: Oversee inventory cycle counts and accurately value inventory for month-end closings.
Variance Analysis: Identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs, investigating significant variances to recommend improvements.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for production costs.
Operational Improvement: Provide data-driven insights on cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and profit margin enhancement.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date cost records and ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
