• Experience to maintain in corporate tax compliance and planning from FMCG or any other reputed organization

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, especially during assessment periods

Responsibilities & Context:

AKIJ Resource is looking for Officer/Senior Officer (Tax) for its corporate department. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company`s tax-related activities to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This role involves preparing tax returns, conducting tax planning, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the company’s tax position. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax legislation and have the ability to manage complex tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax-related documents and reports.

• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and reduce tax liabilities.

• Collaborate with senior management to align tax strategies with business goals.

• Sound knowledge in Tax Assessment.

• Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Manage tax audits by gathering necessary documentation and working with external auditors to resolve any issues.

• Address tax-related inquiries from regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with audit findings.

• Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

• Maintain organized and accurate records of tax filings, payments, and related documentation.

• Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Manage relationships with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or notices as required.
