∎ Promotion of Integrated Sanitation Marketing (PSM) is an innovative approach of increasing access to sanitation facilities among the host community people in Cox`s Bazar District. The goal of the PSM Phase II Project is to increase access to sanitation facilities and improve hygiene practices among the host community and improve the overall health situation in Cox`s Bazar District using iDE`s systems-based approach to sanitation.
∎ The Knowledge & Data Management Officer is responsible to manage day to day monitoring activities that includes process monitoring, output and outcome monitoring of SanMarks CXB under iDE-B`s WASH portfolio. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to stakeholder engagement, monitoring of activity process and impact, and supervision of data enumerators. The Knowledge & Data Management Officer will be supported by Dhaka based staff with tools and methodologies to support in decision-making and course corrections for greater activity effectiveness. He/She will be supervised by the relevant FCs for programmatic support. Knowledge & Data Management Officer will be responsible for stakeholder engagement at the Upazilla level and District level within and will supervise upazila facilitator for data collection.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The responsibilities of the Officer- Knowledge & Data Management include but are not limited to the descriptions below.
∎ Design and Planning:
∎ Function as focal of Knowledge & Data Management on all project activities within an assigned district, under the supervision of the Hub Coordinator
∎ Regularly check in with all stakeholders for whom the Knowledge & Data Management Officer is a primary point of contact (PCO) for rapport-building and market strengthening
∎ Function as the point of contact for inclusion and resilience within the district for the project with research and pilots
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning:
∎ Support all project staff to monitor ongoing event implementation, sales tracking, and activity progress
∎ Maintain and clean databases with brief analysis
∎ - Activity/event tracking
∎ - Sales tracking
∎ - Stakeholder tracking
∎ Spot check data collection quarterly through process monitoring to ensure quality
∎ Lead assessments/surveys as per project requirements
∎ Compile and submit one case study per month
∎ Collect and submit ten quality photographs from each upazila per month
∎ Lead hub-specific assessment plans
∎ Evaluation data collection and analysis tools and guidelines) to relevant field staff and external consultants
∎ Actively engage in initiating best practices, key learnings, unique cases, and other relevant documentation to share with the wider team
∎ Coordination and Support:
∎ Based on guidance from the PM and FC, support cross-program activities including:
∎ - Best practices documentation
∎ - Cross-project learning activities
∎ Maintain close contact and communication for project planning, strategy formulation and other issues with supervisor, technical specialists and institutional support teams
∎ Harmonize approach with other relevant staff in the program through best practice sharing and feedback loops
∎ Other Responsibilities:
∎ Actively follow and engage with Global WASH initiatives in other countries and other Bangladesh programs for stronger network connections
∎ Actively learn and develop skills related to online platforms used by iDE including but not limited to: Salesforce, Smartsheets, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Pivot analysis
∎ Maintain use of online platforms for sharing reports, documents and data
∎ Represent iDE at external events and meetings as agreed with supervisor
∎ Participate in all relevant meetings and workshops
∎ Undertake additional tasks subject to workload and skill sets such as photography, cross-project trainings and evaluations
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years' experience working on Knowledge & Data Management in any Local or International NGOs
∎ Experience in Sanitation/ WASH field will get preference
∎ Familiarity and/or experience with project management concepts such as Logical Frameworks, Impact Logic or Results Chains
∎ Considerable understanding and knowledge of rural markets, trading relationships and rural service provision
∎ Ability to successfully supervise a limited number of staff
∎ Ability to plan and implement iterative field level activities for market systems change (looking beyond the DIP)
∎ Understands the facilitative role and local market development approach
∎ Experience in ICT orientation
∎ Ability to travel 70% of field and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts
∎ Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla, including the ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
∎ Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and the internet
∎ Familiarity with internet-based software systems such as Google Apps, KOBO Tool Box
