∎ Support producer groups in adapting on-farm climate-smart agriculture methods, including water-efficient irrigation, and integrated pest management.
∎ Support the establishment of value chains for on-farm and off-farm products by adopting market linkages, promoting fair trade prices, and engaging private sector actors.
∎ Support to Local Service Provider (LSP) to organize and facilitate agriculture and livelihood-related training for beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Establish climate-smart agriculture demonstration, - household-level gardens, and community gardens. with the support of DAE and replicate the technology.
∎ Identify and analyze appropriate agriculture technologies suitable for local contexts.
∎ Facilitate community-based adaptation planning and local-led solutions for climate-resilient livelihoods.
∎ Promote climate-resilient agricultural practices and climate risk management strategies to minimize vulnerabilities.
∎ Strengthen value chains for on-farm and off-farm products by promoting market linkages, fair trade prices, and private sector engagement.Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing:

∎ Uttaran is a national development organization working in the coastal region of Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged. Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.
∎ Uttaran with technical support from HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Bangladesh will collaborate to implement the “Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) Project” in the southwestern coastal region of Bangladesh. This partnership aims to enhance capacities in adaptation, disaster risk management, climate-induced migration, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihood, soil, and food security through mutual capacity-strengthening programs and knowledge-sharing activities. Together, they will explore, pilot, and disseminate innovative technologies and methodologies while engaging in advocacy efforts to promote their adoption.
∎ Uttaran invites applications for the position titled Officer - Agriculture and Livelihood for the Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) project. The Officer – Agriculture and Livelihood will play a pivotal role in implementing climate-smart agricultural practices and sustainable livelihood strategies to build resilient communities. This position involves working closely with vulnerable and marginalized groups, ensuring inclusive participation, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
