∎ Candidates must have O and A Level teaching experience.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ O Level Subject Teacher:
∎ Make lesson plans regularly.
∎ Create and foster an environment that allows sharing of best practices among colleagues.
∎ Help to develop the skill set of colleagues to optimize team productivity.
∎ Review student progress and, where appropriate, seek help for students, and propose for extra classes.
∎ Review student progress and in the case of behavioural or educational problems, communicate these as appropriate concerned team members.
∎ Organise resources in advance, issue textbooks and other resources, keeping records and collecting back at the appropriate time.
∎ Maintain and improve personal standards of teaching, sharing ideas with other staff, and remain up-to-date of developments in their own subject and education generally.
∎ Write, supervise and mark tests and assessments as appropriate.
∎ Attend assemblies, meetings, Parent Teacher Meetings, presentations and events, including on Saturdays, as required.
∎ Attend and support school activities and events as per the school calendar.
∎ Complete assessment reports as required. Record all marks for each assessment period in lesson plan book.
∎ Liaise and maintain close communication with other members of staff.
∎ Cover for absent colleagues when necessary.
∎ Undertake other tasks and duties as reasonably requested by School. Counsel students as and when needed.
∎ Consult Class Teacher and Coordinator to decide which students are not doing well.
∎ Maintain regular communication with Department Head and others concerned for transparency.
∎ Volunteer to accompany the class teacher on outings and assigned projects.
∎ Attend regular department, staff and class-group meetings.
∎ Interested candidates must have: Masters degree in their specialised field/subject. They must also have full content knowledge of the Cambridge syllabus.
∎ Specialised knowledge in academic year planning and implementation preferred.
∎ Oral and written communication skills:
∎ Professional Certification – teacher trainings like CIDTT or CELTA preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience in teaching.
∎ Candidates with English medium schooling background will be given preference.
∎ Candidates who do not meet any of the above requirements need not apply.
