IB Diploma Programme Economics
Strong understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and development economics
Ability to foster analytical thinking, data interpretation, and evaluation skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Familiarity with Cambridge and IB assessment methodologies
Ability to deliver inquiry-based and student-centered learning experiences
Commitment to relocate to Narsingdi and serve at least two years
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience preparing students for Cambridge and IB examinations
Experience supervising Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE)
Strong understanding of current global economic issues and policy analysis
Proficiency in digital learning tools (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
Ability to contribute to economics clubs, entrepreneurship programmes, and academic competitions
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons across Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A Level, and IB DP
Develop students' understanding of economic theories, concepts, and real-world applications
Foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and evidence-based decision-making
Prepare students for Cambridge and IB assessments, including coursework and Internal Assessments where applicable
Integrate current economic events and global perspectives into classroom learning
Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned with curriculum requirements
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Support students in research projects, Internal Assessments, and Extended Essays
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student achievement
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
Contribute to academic enrichment programmes and extracurricular activities
