Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities
Subject: Chemistry, Biology & Physics – O Level and A Level
The selected teacher will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct classes in accordance with the School’s syllabus, academic guidelines, and Cambridge curriculum requirements.
- Plan and deliver effective, engaging, and student-centred lessons appropriate to O Level and A Level students.
- Apply innovative and active teaching methodologies to enhance students’ understanding and academic performance.
- Evaluate students’ assignments, classwork, practical work, and written assessments regularly.
- Prepare soft copies of question papers, mark schemes, worksheets, and other assessment materials.
- Prepare and maintain accurate mark sheets, grades, academic records, and student report cards.
- Undertake all academic responsibilities related to internal and external examinations, including examination preparation and related documentation.
- Provide appropriate academic support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings and communicate students’ academic progress and areas for improvement to parents/guardians.
- Support the overall academic and personal development of students and help enrich them with knowledge, skills, and values for life.
- Take responsibility for laboratory/practical activities, where applicable, ensuring proper preparation, safety, and effective learning experiences.
- Participate actively in school events, academic activities, competitions, workshops, and other programmed organized by the School.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the academic administration to ensure effective curriculum delivery and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by the School Authority.
