Educational Requirements:

  • Post-graduation in Nutrition and Food Science/Food & Nutrition Science from any reputed public University.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in program management, including 2 years in nutrition or health-related projects.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional activities such as finance, HR, MEAL, and infrastructure projects.

Necessary skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in financial management and budget oversight.   
  • Solid understanding of MEAL frameworks and their application in program improvement.
  • Basic knowledge on HR Policy, Finance Policy, Procurement Policy, Gender & PESA Policy etc.
  • Good relationship with all staffs, local government, Organization, Doners & other agencies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office,Excel and relevant project management tools.


Responsibilities & Context:

Role Profile:

  • The Program Manager is responsible for the OVERALL planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and follow-up of whole functions of the nutrition project in the FDMN camps, under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director- Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Integrated Nutrition Interventions and related activities in both refugee camps and host communities.
  • Ensure program activities are aligned with organizational goals, donor requirements, and international standards (e.g., Sphere Standards, Nutrition Sector, UNICEF, WFP guidelines).
  • Develop and oversee detailed work plans and budgets for program activities.
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to the project staff members to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the project.
  • Ensure that the implementation process/strategies and relevant policies/procedures are properly followed at every stage of the project implementation.
  • Ensure necessary administrative, logistic, and other support in a timely manner to maintain an equable operation of the project.
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate communication and coordination with all other projects under the dignified work in that area.
  • Work closely with the nutrition sector.
  • Monitor field implementation to identify gaps and ensure the quality of implementation.
  • Develop a contingency plan to implement the project in an emergency or any outbreaks.
  • Ensure that the project staff members have a clear understanding of the nutrition project, i.e. objective, outcomes, outputs, activities, implementation methodologies, etc.
  • Make sure that the staff of the nutrition program is following their job description and can fulfill required tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Ensure quality of services provided through nutrition programs, for example, the outreach activities and facility-based activities e.g., CMAM, CMAM-I, GMP, Cooking demonstration, and Micronutrient supplementation.
  • Create/nurture the environment that respects and promotes gender equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Prepare and manage program budgets, ensuring adherence to donor guidelines and organizational financial policies.
  • Develop timely budget forecasts, monitor budget utilization, and manage the budget and other resources in line with the approved plan to ensure financial accountability and timely reporting.
  • Manage the finance team to track spending and reallocate resources as necessary to achieve program goals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage program staff across multiple functions, ensuring team cohesion and professional development.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks to track program performance and impact.
  • Ensure that the relevant staff are well oriented and practicing M&E plan, learning and development procedure, and their roles in knowledge management.
  • Review monitoring findings of the project regular basis and initiate necessary actions for the improvement of program in consultation management and donor agencies.
  • Oversee infrastructure-related activities, including the repair and maintenance of Coordinate with contractors and engineers to manage construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to align program objectives with broader humanitarian efforts.
  • Attend the CMAM and IYCF Technical Working Group meeting and comply with the sector decision.
  • Ensure that all program activities adhere to donor, organizational, and legal requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, including those related to operations, security, and compliance.
