Experience:
The candidate must have Graduate (B.S.C in Agriculture / Forestry/ Horticulture will be given preference) with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd class/ division or equivalent result in all academic examinations
Education and Experience will be relaxed for the potential Candidates
Experienced in horticulture nursery management, production, sales will be given preference
Knowledge on nursery product production process, sales, basic horticulture, care of plant material, agronomy practices, disease & pest control management, action plan and distribution plan
Knowledge about wholesaling, retailing of plants and inventory management
Excellent in report writing, budgeting, people management, work prioritization, time management as well as the ability to adapt to work under pressure and challenging environment
Ensure effective budget planning and conduct regular physical inventory checks to maintain accurate stock balances and minimize damage, wastage, and losses within the nursery
Achieve monthly sales targets in line with the approved annual sales plan and budgeted sales projections of the nursery
Manage the technical operations of the nursery and organize variety-wise production of quality saplings according to the production plan approved by Head Office, ensuring optimum utilization of available land
Regularly inspect plants for diseases, insect infestations, wildlife damage, and weed growth, and take appropriate measures to maintain plant health and quality
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to generate sales opportunities and organize fairs, exhibitions, and other promotional activities to achieve sales targets
Supervise nursery staff and laborers, monitor their productivity, and address their welfare, discipline, and administrative requirements
Implement effective measures to control nursery production costs and ensure optimum utilization of overhead expenses and other resources
Prepare and submit timely operational, sales, production, inventory, and other reports as required by management
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
