Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery from any reputed institution, recognized by BNMC
Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical Responsibilities:
∎ Protects patients and employees by adering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
∎ Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
∎ Conduct the ECG and other services as and when necessary
∎ During health camp, assist health team during patient screening and pre and post-operative patient management.
∎ Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
∎ Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
∎ Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
∎ Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
∎ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
∎ Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
∎ monitor and examine women during pregnancy
∎ provide full antenatal care, including screening tests in the hospital, community and the home
∎ identify high risk pregnancies and make referrals to doctors and other medical specialists
∎ arrange and provide parenting and health education
∎ provide counselling and advice before and after screening and tests
∎ offer support and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and neonatal death
∎ supervise and assist mothers in labour, monitoring the condition of the foetus and applying knowledge of drugs and pain management
∎ give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding, bathing and making up feeds
∎ liaise with agencies and other health and social care professionals to ensure continuity of care
∎ participate in the training and supervision of junior colleagues.
∎ Any Other job assigned by the respective supervisor
