∎ Ensure the safeguarding of project staff through training and adherence to policies
∎ Stay informed of safeguarding legislation and guidelines and share information as per policy
∎ Attend external and internal safeguarding meetings, training and maintain accurate records
∎ Contribute to the design and implementation of safeguarding systems and best practices
∎ Preservation of organizational files and resources
∎ Any other assignments of organizational management
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation
∎ Skilled in using apps-based data collection tools such as KOBO and ODK.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
∎ Experienced in conducting baseline, mid-term, and end-line evaluations.
∎ Previous experience in conducting research.
∎ Expert in field reporting and documentation in English.
∎ Must have experience in implementing rights-based, advocacy, and campaign-related projects.
∎ Fluent in spoken and written English.
∎ Have a valid motorcycle driving license
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Uttaran is an NGO working in Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged community people. Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities, and empower poor communities of Bangladesh. Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for different project of Uttaran.
∎ Job Title: Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
∎ Reports to: MEAL Manager
∎ Administrative Roles and Responsibilities:
∎ Abide by the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.
∎ Submission of weekly/monthly activity plan and report.
∎ Maintain and fulfill properly movement register for field visit
∎ Fulfill and maintain leave form properly
∎ Maintain tour forms properly and submission after tour with the voucher
∎ Preservation of organizational files and resources
∎ Preparation for conducting additional responsibility for the requirement of the organization
∎ Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views to higher authority and finally show the faith to the organization
∎ Consolidated and unite for the organization
∎ Project Related Roles and Responsibilities:
∎ Overall concept on the goal, objectives, outputs, and activities of the project
∎ Overall planning for the project implementation based on the proposal
∎ Knowledge on the logical framework, approach of the project
∎ Play active role for preserving the documents and resources of the project
∎ Provide cordial cooperation by sharing data, information, and feedback for planning of the project and design new project purpose
∎ Attend formal and informal meetings with different stakeholders
∎ Work with relevant committees, and working groups to implement program activities following the work plan, implementation in the schedule, and Monitoring & Evaluation plan
∎ Ensure project visibility in the project area
∎ Ensure the implementation of all activities of the project qualitatively and quantitatively
∎ Carry out any other activities as and when required
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ A Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the following tasks (Including but not limited to):
∎ Collaborating with the Project Coordinator to design, plan and execute the M&E framework of the project
∎ Ensuring proper preservation of project-related Monitoring and Evaluation documents, reports, publications, and other relevant materials
∎ Demonstrating knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E systems, large database management, and monitoring of access to resources, services
∎ Managing M&E/MIS database, including template design, data entry, cleaning, logical checks of monitoring data
∎ Preparing monthly, event, and other data reports as necessary
∎ Assisting with baseline surveys using tools and managing data for quality report writing
∎ Assisting with research and publication under the project
∎ Developing annual reports for donor and NGO Affairs bureau
∎ Creating success stories/case studies
∎ Monitoring and evaluating all staff field-level activities
∎ Ensure the implementation of all activities of the project qualitatively and quantitatively
∎ Work with relevant committees, and working groups to implement program activities following the work plan, implementation in the schedule, and Monitoring & Evaluation plan
∎ Submission of weekly/monthly activity plan and report.
