Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Midwifery
∎ Completed three years of Midwife course
∎ Must have valid and updated registration with Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide SRH services including ANC, PNC, and Family Planning services as per provided standards and guidelines
∎ Conduct normal vaginal delivery
∎ Perform examination and monitoring of pregnant women and assessing care requirements and writing care plans Identify, prioritize and manage high-risk pregnancy
∎ Assess pregnant women and assist them and their family members in creating safe birth plans
∎ Identify and manage obstetric emergencies and refer as needed
∎ Perform newborn resuscitation, stabilize and refer the newborn baby if needed
∎ Perform clinical screening and referral of obstetric fistula
∎ Perform Physical examination and taking and record patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as well as ordering diagnostic tests as needed
∎ Educate patients as well as their partners and family members on reproductive health issues
∎ Counsel patients and their partners to cope with miscarriages, stillbirths, and neonatal deaths
∎ Provide education on breastfeeding and infant & young child feeding
∎ Providing sound advice to patients regarding diets, exercises, and medications suitable for pregnancy.
∎ Provide medical interventions as per recommended guidelines for midwives within the sexual and reproductive health unit
∎ Ensure proper documentation of all interventions undertaken for clients within the clinic including proper filling of patient cards and registers
∎ Prepare patient reports as needed
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and clinical assessment skills.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
∎ The ability to work under pressure
∎ Proven experience working as a midwife
∎ At least one (1) year experiences with relevant position with NGOs/ INGOs is preferable
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
∎ Good organizational skills
∎ Good communication skills
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in camp environment
∎ Good command of Chitagonian/Rohingya language and Bangla.
∎ English language skills an asset.
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
∎ Cultural awareness/ sensitivity and empathy to the target population
∎ Awareness and observation of universal medical ethics.
Salary: Tk. 50400 (Monthly)
