Experience:

• Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology, Nursing Science, or equivalent clinical discipline.

Skill and Competencies:

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of OT or surgical camp experience. Eye care support experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Familiarity with sterile procedures in low-resource settings
• Willingness to stay overnight in field areas during camps
• Physical stamina and attention to surgical precision

Responsible for:

• Pre-screening counseling, listing, and management preparation
• To provide support in detecting and correcting hidden vision problems among school children in rural Bangladesh
• Post screening monitoring, counseling, and follow-up scheduling
• Awareness and counseling of parents and teachers regarding eye problems 

Supervision and Coordination:

• Work under the direct supervision of the focal person
• Coordinate with the camp logistics team and supply chain for sterile items
• Submit daily reports of operations supported and complications noted
• Clinical triage and prep during mobile eye
• Arrangement of camps in the school.

Activities:

• Daily screenings during mobile eye camps as per the school calendar
• Maintain child-friendly, respectful communication
• Record findings, prescriptions, referrals, and lens orders on project MIS
• Participate in feedback sessions and technical refreshers.
