Experience:

• Diploma in Medical Technology

• Diploma in Medical Technology (X-ray) from recognized Institute of Health Technology (IHT).

Skill and Competencies:

• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and desire to learn.
• Flexible, highly committed & motivated to work in remote locations, specially in riverine and hard-to-reach and costal areas.
• Ready to move one location to another location as per organization’s need.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good teamwork exposure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general and dental X-rays and deliver to right patient
• Maintain register of patients
• Sterility and cleanliness
• Ensure functionality of equipment
• Ensure safety of patient and own self.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

Activities:

Overall Management:

• Meet and greet each and every patient.
• Perform general and dental x-rays maintaining safety of own and patients.
• Maintaining daily patients register for X-Ray Unit.
• Ensure all the x ray service entries are available in the software.
• Prepare report as per doctors’ instruction & deliver to Report delivery section/doctors on duty.
• Ensure correct patient, correct side and correct procedure before performing x- Ray.
• Prepare Patient for X-Ray with proper counseling, position and privacy.
• Maintain sterility & cleanliness of X-Ray Lab & Dark room.
• Use X-Ray safety equipment and ensure personal safety.
• Additionally, be flexible to learn lab test procedure with the help of Lab Technologist to run the backup service in absence of Lab Technologist.

Technical responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly requisition of reagents, stationaries, surgical & consumable items for X-Ray Unit through ERP software.
• Informing Hospital Manager/line manager about any problem regarding the equipment and maintaining Down-Time register.
• Prepare monthly report and send to reporting In-charge.
• Prepare & maintain roster duty.
• Regularly send TLD batch to HO for sending it to authority for checking.
• Any work assigned as per advice from higher authority.

Quality Assurances:

• General Maintenance and cleanliness of the X-ray lab.
• Maintain & monitor infection prevention procedures as per protocol.
• Ensure safety of the patient during x ray exposure.
• Maintain daily departmental quality checklist and preserve it.

Client care issues:

• Need to show empathy to the patient while performing any procedure.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality during procedure.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Should be able to work as helping hand in Laboratory when/if needed
