Education and Relevant Experience:

• B Sc./ Diploma (3 years) in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from any reputed institute.

• Check the study participant’s ID and list down the tests to be performed of that participant.
• Explain the procedure of sample collection to the participants as per guidelines;
• Enter the participants’ information on the respective study logs and forms.
• Counsel patient and explain the procedure of study sample collection.
• Collect blood, nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab samples, urine and other biological highly infectious specimens from the study participants as per study requirements
• Complete study logs and forms related to specimen collection and tests; Maintain appropriate sample collection procedure by using appropriate PPE as per standard infectious sample collection and handling guidelines.
• Contact with bio-medical engineers for maintenance works of lab equipment.
• Maintain temperature log for sample transportation temperature as per guidelines.
• Follow institutional biosafety procedures during sample collection, labelling, transportation, processing and waste disposal.
