Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities:

• Providing treatment at outdoor eye unit

• Assist in OT

• Pre & Post operative care

• Autoclaving/sterilizing

• Stock management of Eye department

• Reporting

Activities:

• Meet and greet each and every patient.

• Provide clinical services by managing and treatment of eye patients at outdoor.

• Perform ophthalmic procedures/tests (refraction, IOP, SPT, foreign body removal etc.)

• Registration of eye patients in patients’ register and entry diagnosis, history and treatment in the software.

• Sending monthly medicine requisition with the help of Medical Officer.

• Sending monthly report to Medical Officer.

• Maintenance and autoclaving of instruments and proper maintenance of medicine and equipment.

• Responsible for arranging eye instruments in trolley during secondary health camps.

• Assist eye surgeon as per need.

• Pre-operative/post-operative care of the patients during secondary camp.

• Preparation of requisition for secondary health camp in consultation of Medical Officer and submit to him.

• Ensure cleanliness and fumigation of OT.

• Maintain daily departmental quality checklist and preserve it.

Additional Responsibility:

• Maintaining stock register

• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and eye unit.

• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

• Any work assigned as per advice from higher authority.

• Appropriately follow safeguarding policy and code of conduct of the organization

Skill and Competencies:

• Diploma in Medical Faculty (DMF) from MATS with 1-year MLOP/DOLV certificate course training.

• 3 years of relevant experience.

• Experience working in Eye OT specially during camp.

• Excellent communication skills and desire to learn.

• Flexible, highly committed & motivated to work in remote locations, ship hospital and specially in riverine areas.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Sound knowledge on computer operation specially MS Office and email communication.
