Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
∎ With Valid BMDC Registration from any Govt. recognized medical college and university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provision of curative health consultations, Treatment, Minor operation,
∎ Prepare for undertaking Roster duties.
∎ Help Collection and compilation of daily and weekly epidemiological data
∎ Support and supervision of other health Staff (Medical Assistants/Paramedics/Nurse/Others).
∎ Help arrange necessary drugs, material, and equipment for consultations
∎ Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when performing curative health consultations
∎ Participate actively in triage activities
∎ Take part in OPD and IPD activities as per existing SOPs and Guidelines
∎ Explain the treatment to the patient
∎ Give individual health education related to the patient's disease
∎ Manage emergency cases according to GK/UNHCR protocols and regulation
∎ Refer cases according to GK/UNHCR pathway and procedure
∎ Fill in the morbidity chart according to the diagnosis for each patient
∎ Take part in Facility-based and Community-based Health, Reproductive Health and Nutrition activities.
∎ Investigate any information regarding unusual health events or diseases outbreak.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity
∎ Any other duty relevant to the post assigned by GK
∎ Special Note
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the Health Coordinator of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with an incumbent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1-year working experience on Rohingya camp will be preferred
∎ Good organizational skills.
∎ Good communication skills.
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in the camp environment.
∎ Good command of English and Chitagonian/Rohingya language as assets.
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
∎ Cultural awareness/sensitivity and empathy to the target population.
∎ Awareness and observation of universal medical ethics.
