Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with minimum six months post-graduation training (PGT) in psychiatry in any recognized hospitals & /or institutes.

Experience Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ GK was created in 1972 with two visions. Firstly, "the fate of the poor decides the fate of the country". Secondly, "development of the country depends on the development of women". Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and UNHCR have entered a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis in Cox`s Bazar & Bhasanchar.
∎ Working Place: Cox`s Bazar (Teknaf/ Ukhiya) & Noakhali (Bhasanchar)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide psychiatric consultation and pharmacological intervention to patients suffering from severe and common psychiatric, behavioral, and emotional problems under the regular supervision of the Clinic manager.
∎ Maintain close collaboration and liaison with PHC's staff, and MHPSS Officer for better coordination, referral, and daily facility support; and strengthen treatment plans and patient care.
∎ Complete all necessary clinical documentation, and data recording in an accurate and timely manner and submit in the HIS/irHIS system for the purpose of monitoring the provision of care.
∎ Manage all beneficiary information according to GK/UNHCR protocols and regulations and follow the global standard for stopping any type of harm to beneficiaries.
∎ Facilitate referrals and assisted the transportation of critical psychosis cases to functioning secondary health facilities or hospitals when required in accordance with organization mandate and procedures directly or through health partners
∎ Ensure compliance with good pharmaceutical practice guidelines, and psychotropic medications availability in the project.
∎ Take part in training opportunities that are arranged for Mental Health IPD Staff.
∎ Ensure support and supervision of Mental Health IPD Staff. (paramedics, nurses, and social workers) and motivate them to continue the quality treatment.
∎ Arrange case management meetings for the Mental Health IPD Staff. , as part of learning and continuous professional development.
∎ Participate actively in the meetings with the community health committee, and meeting with other stakeholders.
∎ Provide input for monthly/Weekly/Daily reports, analyze data trends, and adjust the programs as needed.
∎ Take part in OPD and IPD activities as per existing SOPs and Guidelines.
∎ Investigate any information regarding unusual health events or disease outbreaks.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity.
∎ Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Clinic Manager and MHPSS consultant.
∎ Work as the in-charge of night/day duties in Mental Health IPD.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Essential 1 years of working experience related to managing mental health patients in any secondary and tertiary level facilities.
∎ Experience and knowledge in practicing essential psychotropics medicines with under guidance of the mhGAP curriculum.
∎ Person fluent with Chittagonian dialect will be given preference

Salary: Tk. 115000 (Monthly)
