Responsibilities & Context:

• Provide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients presenting with obstetric and gynecological conditions.

• Conduct antenatal and postnatal consultations, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, and identify high-risk pregnancies requiring specialist referral.

• Assess and manage common obstetric emergencies, including pregnancy-related bleeding, hypertensive disorders, preterm labor, and other acute complications.

• Provide gynecological consultations for menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, vaginal discharge, reproductive health concerns, and other common gynecological conditions.

• Perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations as per clinical indication and professional competency.

• Assess fetal viability, gestational age, fetal growth, presentation, placental location, amniotic fluid, and other relevant obstetric parameters on ultrasound.

• Perform gynecological ultrasound assessment of the uterus, endometrium, ovaries, adnexa, and pelvic structures.

• Maintain accurate patient records, ultrasound reports, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.

• Counsel patients regarding antenatal care, family planning, reproductive health, investigations, treatment options, and follow-up.

• Coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care for complicated obstetric and gynecological cases.

• Ensure appropriate infection prevention, patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to institutional clinical protocols.

• Participate in emergency services, clinical rounds, health education, and other duties assigned by the medical administration.
