• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmacy

• Understanding of disease processes, treatment procedures, and body systems.

• Familiarity with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder is good to have.

• 1 to 5 years

• Age 22 to 35 years

• Medical knowledge: Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure correct coding.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex medical information and translate it into standardized codes.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity MS Office Suite software’s and applications.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and staff.

• Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in medical records and coding.

• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems are preferred.

• Typing Speed: A typing speed of more than 30 WPM is preferred.

• Environment: Work from office setting.

• Office Time: 1 PM – 10 PM.

• Weekdays: Monday – Friday.

• Weekends: Saturday and Sunday.

• Physical Demands: The job involves prolonged periods of sitting and extensive use of a computer.

• Review Medical Records: Examine patient records, including history, treatment, and outcomes, to determine appropriate codes.

• Assign Codes: Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation provided by healthcare providers.

• Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and legal standards, including HIPAA regulations.

• Data Entry: Input codes and other relevant information into electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.

• Audit and Review: Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal stakeholders to clarify diagnoses and procedures when necessary.

• Education and Training: Stay updated with coding changes and participate in ongoing education and training.

• Reporting: Generate and submit required reports to internal and external stakeholders.

• Initial 3 months training: 15,000 BDT.

• Next 9 months: 45,000 BDT.

• After 1 year (based on joining date): 50,000 BDT.

• Salary will be revised after each year based on performance & management decision.

• Selected candidates will undergo a 3 months` training period, in which they would get to acquire extensive knowledge regarding medical coding.

• Once a candidate has successfully completed the training period, he/she would need to undergo 6 months of probation period, after which they would be selected as a permanent employee.
