General Responsibilities (All Units):

• Assist physicians and nurses in daily patient care activities.
• Record and update patients’ vital signs, medical histories, and treatment notes.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sterility of patient care areas and instruments.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and operations.
• Ensure availability and functionality of medical equipment and supplies.
• Support emergency resuscitation procedures (CPR, airway management, etc.) as instructed.
• Handle patient transport within departments with safety and care.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow hospital protocols strictly.

ICU (Intensive Care Unit):

• Monitor and record patient vital signs and input/output charts.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Support nursing staff in administering medications and fluids as directed.
• Provide bedside assistance during critical care interventions.
• Ensure continuous readiness of emergency drugs and life-saving equipment.

OT (Operation Theatre):

• Prepare the operation room before and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure sterilization of surgical instruments and maintain sterile fields.
• Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments during operations.
• Prepare and position patients for surgery following protocol.
• Manage and restock surgical supplies and materials.
• Support infection control and waste management processes.

CCU (Coronary Care Unit):

• Assist in monitoring cardiac patients under supervision of nurses/doctors.
• Operate ECG, defibrillator, and cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Record and report changes in cardiac patients’ conditions promptly.
• Assist in administering cardiac medications and oxygen therapy.
• Maintain emergency trolleys and ensure cardiac equipment is in working condition.

Emergency Department:

• Respond quickly to patient admissions and provide immediate medical support.
• Assist in triage and stabilization of emergency cases.
• Prepare and maintain emergency equipment, trolleys, and stretchers.
• Support in wound dressing, injections, and minor procedures.
• Coordinate patient handover to ICU/ward as required.
