∎ Bachelor's/Master's degree in apparel technology, fashion design, or a related field
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous experience in a construction and fit partner role. Proven track record of developing prototype garments from sample or design
∎ Previous experience as a pattern cutter or working with development and production
∎ Experience in making size grading from the design and making grade-wise measurement sheets with Techpack
∎ Sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, garment grading, and a full understanding of the fit process.
∎ Good understanding of relevant safety and compliance standards
∎ Experience in the use of 3D design tools is preferred
∎ Accuracy and attention to detail.
∎ Able to do consumption of garments (knit and woven, both).
∎ Stakeholder management - Is able to positively engage and influence others.
∎ Minimum 8 years of experience in size and fit technology within the apparel industry.
∎ In-depth knowledge of size and fit technology solutions and trends.
∎ Strong project management and leadership abilities.
∎ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop patterns using CAD systems
∎ Maintain block library of core shapes
∎ Grading approved base size patterns using CAD system
∎ Create Technical Pack, which includes: Pattern file, Garment Construction page, Measurement image and Product specification sheet, including graded specs for each new style
∎ Work closely with the designers to ensure accurate understanding and translation of the intended design
∎ Provide suggestions of the best way to construct or adjust garment and resolve any potential style and fit issues
∎ Fit and evaluate all samples against tech pack with designer; fit on live bodies when applicable
∎ Send out wear trials on new development/new fits/revised grades when applicable
∎ Trialing new shapes/ construction technique finishes by briefing offshore suppliers to submit R&D development samples
∎ Ensure all products are made in line with our company standards and meet required safety and compliance standards and regulations.
∎ Implement size and fit technology to enhance the online shopping experience.
∎ Ensure compliance with sizing regulations and standards.
∎ We are looking for a skilled and innovative Manager, Size and Fit Technology (Apparel) to lead our efforts in optimizing size and fit solutions for our apparel products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in size and fit technology, a deep understanding of consumer preferences, and the ability to enhance the customer experience through precise sizing.
