  • Possesses strong writing skills in both English and Bengali for technical health writing, report preparation, and data compilation.

  • Proficient in statistical data analysis, data compilation, and the advanced use of MS Office tools.

  • Understanding of the national and global health sectors, public health research, and health structures.

  • Knowledge in business development, grants management procedures, and donor compliance and grant requirements.

  • Demonstrates excellent time management, planning, negotiation, and prioritization skills, with the capacity to work independently with minimum guidelines.

  • Combines strong interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving, a future-oriented mindset, teamwork, and an easy-to-work-with attitude while maintaining high morale, integrity, and honesty.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for developing high-quality proposals and concept notes, ensuring donor compliance, and capturing insights from health system and community-based interventions to strengthen future programme design. The role also supports reporting, MoUs, procurement, compliance processes, and recommends programme improvements aligned with donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explore fundraising opportunities, regularly monitor donor websites and identify and inform donor opportunities matching relevant with BRAC Health Programme (BHP).

  • Support the end-to-end proposal development process: concept notes, technical and financial proposals, theories of change, frameworks, workplans, and budgets. Additionally, create and manage a database for BHP donors and projects.

  • Develop compelling narratives, logical frameworks, implementation plans, and results frameworks.

  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination among programme, GPTL, finance, procurement, HR, and partnership teams during proposal development and others during proposal writing and budget preparation to ensure timely submission and strategic positioning of proposals.

  • Contribute to organisational visibility and positioning through quality programme documentation and donor communication. Develop and maintain database for programmatic knowledge pieces, one pagers and reports.

  • Prepare periodic updates on proposal pipelines, funding opportunities, and submission status for management review and assist in developing and negotiating contract/ MoU terms with donors on behalf of the programne

  • Conduct due diligence procedures, maintain a pipeline, and regularly update it with information

  • Undertake regular field visits to gather experiences from the ground level to provide practical inputs in the proposal and budget and recommend necessary changes for aligning with the donor requirements

  • Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly and keep updating them about the work of the organization

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
