Education:
    • Master of Arts (MA) in Social Science
  • Master’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field from a recognized university with at least 2nd class/Division or CGPA minimum 2.25 out of 4.00/minimum 2.82 out of 5.00 in any examination.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar managerial or program coordination role in an NGO/INGO.
  • Experience in managing multi-sectoral or donor-funded development programs will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English.
  • Age at most 45 years at the time of application.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills.
  • Sound understanding of development programming, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet-based communication.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on a progressive portfolio of responsibilities.

Context and Scope:

Katnarpara Nari Unnayan Sangstha (KNUS) is a national-level, women-led, non-government humanitarian development organization. KNUS implements multi-sectoral development programs focusing on women’s empowerment, safe migration and reintegration, livelihoods, education, health, protection, and humanitarian response across urban and rural areas of Bangladesh.The Manager – Program will play a key leadership role in strengthening program quality, coordination, and strategic growth of KNUS. The position requires close collaboration with senior management, donors, government institutions, and partner organizations to ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programs in line with organizational goals and donor requirements. This role combines strategic leadership and operational management, contributing to organizational learning, innovation, sustainability, accountability, and meaningful impact at the community level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of organizational programs and projects.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to program teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of activities.
  • Ensure alignment of programs with KNUS’s mission, strategic plan, development priorities and SDGs.
  • Maintain effective liaison with donors, government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, work plans, progress reports, and other programmatic documents.
  • Oversee monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) processes in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Support program budgeting and ensure efficient utilization of resources in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Supervise, mentor, and build the capacity of program staff.
  • Promote documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and organizational knowledge sharing.
