Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering / Apparel Merchandising / Business Administration from a reputed institution.
• Postgraduate qualification preferred but not mandatory.

• At least 12 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House, Sweater Industry

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in Sweater Merchandising within a reputed buying house.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• In-depth technical knowledge of sweater manufacturing processes.

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented Manager – Merchandising to lead one of our sweater merchandising division

Full-time: 6 days a week

Workplace: Uttara, Dhaka (Work at office)

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end merchandising process for sweater products, from yarn sourcing to garment delivery.
• Set departmental goals, animate your team, allocate tasks, and manage the merchandising team for smooth workflow and timely execution.   
• Plan and monitor yarn sourcing, dyeing, and delivery schedules to align with production timelines.
• Coordinate with designers for accurate sweater development, ensuring correct gauge, stitch, and raw material supply.
• Supervise fit samples, size sets, PPS, and TOP approvals to meet buyer requirements and seasonal deadlines.
• Ensure all yarns, trims, labels, and accessories are in-house before bulk knitting starts.
• Track production processes (knitting, linking, washing, finishing) to avoid bottlenecks and ensure quality standards.
• Review factory inventory reports and arrange urgent deliveries to cover shortages immediately.
• Coordinate with planning, production, and commercial teams to ensure on-time shipments.
• Oversee buyer communications, ensuring all queries and approvals are handled promptly.
• Implement process improvements to optimize production lead times.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, buyer standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Provide senior management with regular status updates, risk assessments, and action plans.
• Mentor and develop team members in sweater merchandising best practices.
• Handle any special sweater-related projects assigned by management.
