∎ Skills Required: Computer Hardware and Networking, Leadership, POS Software, Strategic Technology Planning, Strong Business Acumen, Technical Capability

Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 12 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include operating systems, servers, PCs, software apps, SAP ERP, PI, BI, WINCOR POS and peripherals.
∎ Providing expert advice and support when systems are being upgraded or installed, or when there are conversions or maintenance.
∎ Overseeing the development and enhancement of systems and integrating
∎ new systems with those existing.
∎ Working with staff to develop plans and strategies so services can be enhanced, user effectiveness improved and innovation encouraged.
∎ Liaising regularly with executive and senior management as well as systems users.
∎ Managing it staff, with responsibility for hiring, evaluation, training, guidance, disciplinary procedures and dismissals.
∎ Developing standard operating procedures allied to best practice, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for it staff and all end-users.
∎ Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff for developing new solutions for the automation of the business.
∎ Ensuring written documentation is created and maintained, to include user and system manuals, license agreements and all documentation relating to modifications and upgrades.
∎ Keeping up-to-date with the most recent technologies and advising on what new technological solutions and their implementation will meet business and systems requirements.
∎ Negotiating with suppliers of hardware and software to get the best deal, including external support, and being responsible for contracting consultants and making service agreements.
∎ Creating a budget for each project as well as managing the financial aspects of the entire IT department such as purchases, maintenance and ongoing budgeting.
∎ Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
∎ Provide leadership in the areas of organisation culture, leadership development and organisational effectiveness in order to build a winning organisation that will achieve the business vision.
∎ Need to work closely with operational people to understand their requirement and design system according to the standard.
