Job Purpose

The Manager (Head), Accounts & Finance is responsible for providing overall financial leadership, planning, control, and

governance of the organization. The role ensures financial stability, regulatory compliance, budgeting discipline, cost control,

and strategic financial decision-making to support business growth across multiple verticals including skincare, lifestyle, retail,

and e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Control

• Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory

requirements.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund requirements to ensure operational continuity.

• Establish, review, and strengthen internal financial controls, approval matrices, and procedures.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Management

• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business strategy.

• Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances with corrective recommendations.

• Implement effective cost control measures and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management and relevant stakeholders.

• Develop MIS reports, financial dashboards, and performance analytics for decision-making.

• Provide timely and accurate financial insights to support strategic and operational planning.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Oversee direct and indirect taxation including VAT, Income Tax, withholding tax, and statutory returns.

• Ensure timely tax filings, payments, and regulatory submissions in compliance with Bangladesh laws.

• Manage tax planning activities within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Banking, Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.

• Oversee payments, receipts, cash management, and fund utilization.

• Negotiate loans, credit facilities, and banking arrangements to support business needs.

Policy, SOP & Governance Development

• Develop, implement, and update financial policies, SOPs, controls, and approval frameworks.

• Ensure adherence to company policies related to expenses, advances, procurement, and payments.

• Strengthen financial governance, risk management, and compliance culture across the organization.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts & Finance team.

• Assign duties, review performance, and ensure continuous skill development.

• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BBA & MBA in Accounts or Finance

• Professional Qualification: CA (CC preferred / CA-CC completed) or ACCA

• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including a senior or managerial role

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance

• Experience in skincare, lifestyle, retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or service-based industries will be preferred

• Proven ability to build finance functions from scratch, including SOPs and control systems

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools

• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
