Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for regulatory purposes and support external auditors.
Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow statements, along with insights for management and operations teams.
Prepare management accounts for each operational vertical to support informed decision-making.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Develop annual budgets and monitor budget variances.
Prepare and track monthly cash forecasts.
Manage daily cash flow and monitor all inflow and outflow transactions.
Prepare ad hoc reports as required to provide operational and financial insights.
Banking:
Manage loans, term loans, and overdraft facilities, ensuring timely renewals.
Maintain effective liaison with banks.
Monitor daily bank transactions and execute transactions when required.
VAT and Tax:
Deduct applicable VAT and taxes from daily transactions.
Filing VAT returns, withholding tax returns, and annual tax returns on time.
Support tax consultants in preparing and submitting annual tax returns.
Operations:
Monitor day-to-day operations, record transactions, and input data into Sage software.
Collaborate with the business team to ensure timely submission of sales invoices.
Track trade payables and ensure payments are made on time.
Monitor trade receivables to ensure timely collections.
Provide ad hoc support to the operations and business teams as needed.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CA/ACCA partly or fully qualified preferred).
· 4–7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts.
· Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, VAT, and tax regulations.
· Proficiency in MS Excel.
· Good understanding of financial operations.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
