Job Context:
∎ The purpose of this position is to ensure effective and efficient financial management of BRAC International countries including its monitoring, financial reporting for external and internal stakeholders, financial asset management, effective liaison with country finance team to ensure financial control and management etc.
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Reviewing and finalizing monthly financial statements of the assigned country in compliance of IFRS and related guidelines;
∎ Check monthly GL and suggest Country Head of Finance for improvement. Ensuring HO Logistics are calculated accurately and paid regularly.
∎ Ensuring segment wise accounting are being maintained and segmental financial reports are being prepared on a timely basis.
∎ Ensuring major financial transactions are being reviewed and approved as per policy. Verifying availability of budgets before incurring major procurements.
∎ Tax compliance are being met and timely tax payments and returns are submitted.
∎ Working directly with External Auditor and providing necessary support to complete annual audit within the deadline and ensure a clean report.
∎ Liaison with country head of finance to resolve issues raised in internal/external audit and other reports.
∎ Acting as the fund manager for different donor funded project, and work as focal person for assigned projects; Ensuring all required donor and investors / lenders report are submitted on time.
∎ Ensure compliance with statutory authority. Ensure compliance with Donor and Loan agreements.
∎ Providing technical support to IT team in developing various ERP modules.
∎ Identify operations and system improvement areas for the finance function and manage change implementation process.
∎ Providing all accounts and finance related assistance and technical guidance to assigned countries from head office.
∎ To accomplish any other duties as delegated by supervisors.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 year experience in international NGO;
∎ Experience in donor funded projects & microfinance with understanding about rules and regulation of major donors;
∎ Experience in working with cross boarder team and culture.
∎ Advanced computer proficiency on MS office;
∎ Orientation with ERP & finance module;
∎ Strong interpersonal/ communication skills;
∎ Ability to take independent decisions
