Experience:
Graduation/Post-graduation with a major in Accounting from any recognized public or ‘A’ category private university.
Partly Qualified CA / CMA / ACCA will be preferred.
Candidates with prior experience in hotel or resort accounting will be given preference.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial position.
Experience in a minimum 4-star hotel (locally or abroad) will be considered an added advantage.
A renowned 5-star resort located in the greater Sylhet region invites applications from competent and experienced professionals for the position of Manager – Finance & Accounts to lead and manage its Accounts Department.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the overall operations of the Finance & Accounts Department.
Manage day-to-day accounting functions including:
Cash control and cash flow management
Bank payments and bank reconciliation
Daily purchase control
Monthly closing and financial statements
Preparation and submission of financial reports to the Managing Director
Regulate and monitor payments to credit suppliers.
Ensure timely collection of dues from credit customers as per billing schedules.
Develop and implement effective cost control and cost minimization strategies.
Ensure full compliance with:
VAT laws
Income Tax laws
RJSC regulatory requirements, including preparation and filing of annual returns
Perform any other financial or accounting duties assigned by management from time to time.
Salary: To be determined according to merit and experience.
