Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Commerce/ MBA in Accounts/ Finance.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for the Commercial (import, export & bond) functions of the group execute in timely and cost effectively.
∎ Maintain proper liaison with BEPZA, Customs, VAT, Bond, freight forwarder, C&F, BGMEA, BKMEA, Shipping line, concern Bank, Trade bodies, insurance companies and related Govt. bodies as well as production, sourcing, merchandising, Supply chain.
∎ Establish standard procedures for overall function of the department and ensure implementation of it.
∎ Handle, liaison and coordinate with various government authority for smooth and timely delivery of goods and execution of import & export procedures.
∎ Ensure renewal of all kind of Company Certificates from government authorities within timely.
∎ Preparing and finalizing of all commercial documents as per buyer's requirement and follow up independently for various buyers.
∎ Follow up Export payment and report to management, and ensure that there are no delay payments.
∎ Ensure yearly Customs Audit claims independently.
∎ Management of entire export and import related activities.
∎ Liaison with Bank, EPB, Shipping Line, Forwarding Agents and others organization related to export and import documentation.
∎ Review or update Commercial activities / practices in accordance with new or changing standards, regulations and laws of national & international.
∎ Preparing monthly/periodic comprehensive import & export statements with detailed coverage of all shipment quantities (excess shipments/short shipments), back-to-back expenditure, associated commercial/banking expenditures, buyer/agent/sourcing house commission and short payments received etc.
∎ Negotiate with bank for preferential exchange rate for import and export.
∎ To maintain in-bond and ex-bond register with custom.
∎ Prepare yearly import and export customs statement for Bond audit.
∎ To execute, coordinate, monitor and manage LC related works.
∎ Follow up of Import L/C and ensure proper HS code for timely clearance from customs and save additional cost.
∎ Present shipping documents to respective custom stations on time.
