Job Responsibilities:
∎ Business Development; Relation buildup with foreign Ship Owners, Ship Operators, Ship Managers, Ship Charterers, Market Research; Marketing Strategies; Customer Relations; Agreements and Contract Negotiations. This role will be fully responsible for performing Port Agency from the vessels owned and chartered. He will keep in constant contact with brokers, charterers and owners. He will be assigned to its best fitting market and client list, and will be encouraged to penetrate and develop it further in the Shipping Industry.
∎ Communication with foreign Ship Owners, Ship Operators, Ship Managers, Ship Charterers, Importers, Consignees for secure Port Agency business in Chittagong Port & Mongla Port.
∎ Prepare & submit Competitive PDA.
∎ Business development experience in the marine industry not limited to bunkering, chartering, crewing, port agency, ship supplies, ship S&P will be highly desirable.
∎ To maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients, brokers, agents, owners and charterers.
∎ Coordinates with Port high officials and Staff to operate Port activities to the maritime and break bulk cargo/ shipping industries.
∎ To closely follow the performance of voyages and work closely with the Operations Department.
∎ Works to promote excellent working relations with Ports, Stevedores, Clients, Consignees and other partners.
∎ Develops goals, objectives, short and long-range business development plans, marketing strategies and programs for the retention of existing business and the attraction of new business.
∎ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
∎ Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years of relevant working experience in Global Shipping Industry.
∎ Knowledge of shipping cargoes and familiar with all related laws and regulations.
∎ Experience in Ship Chartering position.
∎ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
∎ Strong negotiator and ability to outperform market levels.
∎ Team player who has the discipline to work along and meet pre-defined deadlines.
∎ Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure.
∎ Ability to use initiative and problem solve.
∎ Determination to grow within the business.
