Additional Requirements:

At least 2-3 years of experience teaching Malay as a foreign/second language
Experience teaching in Bangladesh or to Bengali-speaking learners is a plus
Native or near-native fluency in Malay (Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to create engaging and learner-centered lesson plans

Responsibilities & Context:
Develop structured lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to learners’ needs (beginner to advanced levels)
Conduct interactive and engaging Malay language classes (in-person and/or online) for individuals or groups
Assess students’ proficiency levels and monitor their progress through regular evaluations and feedback
Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to enhance students’ understanding of Malay customs and traditions
Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and objectives (e.g., conversational Malay, business Malay, exam preparation)
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, motivating learning environment
Collaborate with the academic team to develop and update course curricula
Provide guidance and support to students outside of class hours, if required
