∎ Uttaran in Partnership with World Vision Canada and Bangladesh is implementing Youth Empowered Project , Bangladesh Program - "Preventing Child, Early and forced marriage through Integrated SRHR Transformation". It is a 3-year project that will use a multi-pronged approach to empower girls and young women to exert greater control over Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) decision-making and the factors that drive CEFM with the support of their families and communities. The project will build the capacity of community and health ecosystems to provide gender-responsive and adolescent-friendly SRHR and CEFM information and services. Through evidence-informed and complementary pathways, the project seeks to contribute to the ultimate outcome of "Enhanced realization of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Girls and Young Women (10-24 years old) in Bagherhat and Sathkira districts of Bangladesh."
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The M & E Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
∎ • Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output of Youth Empowered Project in Satkhira/Bagerhat district
∎ • Develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system.
∎ • Ensure field staff are properly trained and prepared for all relevant aspects of program monitoring;
∎ • Ensure the consistency of M&E quantitative and qualitative data (baseline and end line)
∎ • Supervise implementation of M&E process (baseline, end line, PDM, Post-Harvest Monitoring and as delegated by the Project Coordinator.
∎ • Establish functional MIS system and follow data management protocols
∎ • Prepare Monthly Update M&E report as required by Uttaran and Donor
∎ • Liaise with Project coordinator to ensure that program indicators, monitoring formats, databases, data analysis, and reporting are maintained and harmonized;
∎ • Provide feedback to the Project Management on project strategies and activities
∎ • Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or reduce such bottlenecks
∎ • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Coordinator Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant reports
∎ • Assist the project personnel preparing M&E tools and in supporting them in their use
∎ • Conduct need based small study for learning and share result for improvement
∎ • Prepare monthly analysis based on progress and share achievement and gaps as well in the mgt meeting to promote effective planning.
∎ • Maintain effective coordination with project team as well as M&E technical lead.
∎ • Any other additional activities as per organizational (WVC/WVB/Uttaran) needs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 Years of Experience of working in similar position in a National/International organization
∎ Basic understanding on data management and functionalities to establish Project MIS
∎ Understanding on analysis software like SPSS/advance EXCEL/Strata or other similar software for analyzing data
∎ Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports
∎ Experience in M&E report writing, research report writing etc.
∎ Familiar on ODK based data collection system will be an advantage
∎ Fluency in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work effectively with remote area
∎ Proven ability to work in an intercultural environment
∎ Willingness to travel extensively across the working area
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with valid driving license
∎ Accomplish dead line driven activities and accomplish deliverables within time frame.
