Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's or Master's in economics, business administration, rural development, or any related discipline.

∎ Duration : Upto September 2024
∎ Project Location : Ukhiya & Teknaf Upazila (Host & Camp), Cox`s Bazar
∎ Job Summary: The Livelihood officer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating Child Protection initiatives for the "Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM) project for Food Security & Livelihood and Child protection sectors" under YPSA (Young Power in Social Action) at at Ukiya & Teknaf Upazila (Host & Camp) in Cox`s Bazar. This position involves working closely with project stakeholders, youth participants, and community partners to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Livelihood Program Planning:
∎ Develop, implement, and monitor livelihood programs in alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
∎ Conduct assessments to identify viable livelihood opportunities and market trends.
∎ Community Engagement:
∎ Collaborate with community members to understand their livelihood needs and aspirations.
∎ Facilitate participatory approaches in the design and implementation of livelihood programs.
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ Provide training and capacity-building support to community members to enhance their skills and knowledge in targeted livelihood areas.
∎ Identify and leverage external resources for specialized training programs.
∎ Market Linkages:
∎ Establish and maintain relationships with local markets, businesses, and potential employers.
∎ Facilitate linkages between program participants and market opportunities to enhance income-generating activities.
∎ Microenterprise Development:
∎ Support the establishment and growth of microenterprises, providing guidance on business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies.
∎ Assist in the development of sustainable business models for community members.
∎ Financial Inclusion:
∎ Promote financial literacy and inclusion by facilitating access to financial services, including savings and credit mechanisms.
∎ Work with financial institutions to create tailored financial products for program participants.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to track the progress and impact of livelihood programs.
∎ Regularly assess the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for improvements.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Prepare comprehensive reports on livelihood program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, partners, and organizational stakeholders.
∎ Networking:
∎ Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to enhance the overall impact of livelihood programs.
∎ Participate in relevant networks and forums to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated experience in livelihood program design, implementation, and management.
∎ Previous work in community development, microenterprise, or related fields.
∎ Strong project management skills.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Ability to conduct needs assessments and develop tailored interventions.
∎ Understanding of economic development, poverty alleviation, and sustainable livelihood principles.
∎ Familiarity with local market dynamics and value chains.
∎ Proficiency in relevant local languages may be an advantage, depending on the context.
∎ Competence in using standard office software for data analysis and reporting.
∎ The Livelihood Officer plays a critical role in empowering communities by creating sustainable economic opportunities. The position requires a combination of technical expertise, community engagement skills, and a commitment to improving the economic well-being of program participants.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
∎ Consolidated Salary Including Fringe Benefit per month BDT 50,000
