Position: Line In-Charge – Sewing

Job Location: South Shilmandi, Narsingdi Sadar, Narsingdi

Job Summary

Diva Tex is looking for an energetic, technically skilled and responsible Line In-Charge to manage a garment sewing line. The candidate must be able to lead operators, achieve production targets and maintain quality with minimum rework.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily sewing-line operations and achieve hourly and daily production targets.

• Allocate operators according to their skills and operation requirements.

• Balance the line, identify bottlenecks and take prompt corrective action.

• Ensure smooth feeding, control work-in-progress and reduce idle time.

• Guide operators on correct sewing methods and improve productivity.

• Coordinate with Quality, IE, Cutting and Maintenance teams to resolve problems.

• Ensure first-piece approval and maintain quality throughout production.

• Monitor defects, alterations and rework, and prevent recurring problems.

• Maintain accurate records of output, attendance, downtime and target achievement.

• Manage style changeovers and ensure machines, attachments and materials are ready.

• Maintain discipline, housekeeping and safe working practices.

Educational Requirements

SSC/HSC or equivalent. Educational qualifications may be relaxed for candidates with strong practical experience.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in garment sewing production.

• Previous experience as a Line In-Charge or Sewing Supervisor.

• Experience in all garments will be preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of sewing operations, machines and attachments.

• Ability to manage both salaried and contract/piece-rate operators.

• Good understanding of line balancing, production targets and garment quality.

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Hardworking, career-focused and accountable for results.
