Responsibilities & Context:

The Lead Advisor, Information Security leads the Bangladesh-based security team, ensuring efficient handling of security alerts, operational task tracking, and incident response. This role focuses on maintaining team performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting progress to Montreal-based security managers. The Lead Advisor, Information Security also oversees compliance processes, operational task tracking, and ensures alignment with HR and organizational objectives. Flexibility with working hours is essential to accommodate time zone differences and foster global collaboration.

Incident and Operational Management:

  • Supervise and guide the team in triaging, prioritizing, and responding to security alerts.

  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of incidents and operational tasks as per established playbooks.

  • Monitor quality of incident handling and operational task execution to maintain alignment with global standards.

Team Supervision:

  • Manage team adherence to HR policies, compliance processes, and performance goals.

  • Provide mentorship, regular feedback, and support for professional growth.

Performance and Reporting:

  • Develop and track KPIs to measure team effectiveness and progress.

  • Compile and deliver actionable performance reports to Montreal-based security managers and the compliance manager.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the execution of various operational tasks, tracking awareness training, and monitoring resolution progress for vulnerabilities and other assigned responsibilities.

  • Ensure quality assurance processes are applied to all operational tasks.

Collaboration and Process Improvement:

  • Serve as the liaison between the Bangladesh team and Montreal security management.

  • Drive process improvements for enhanced local operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with global teams to align practices and share best practices.

Flexibility and Coordination:

  • Adjust working hours as needed to collaborate effectively across time zones.

  • Ensure seamless communication and alignment with global security goals.
