∎ Scope / Location: Dhaka (30% field travel required)
∎ OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
∎ Working exclusively for Knowledge Transfer under the functional support of the KT manager, the KT BD Finance Manager will be in charge of all aspects of KT Bangladesh finance including analyzing every day financial activities and providing advice and guidance to EWS-KT management on future financial plans in a timely, transparent and accurate manner.
∎ SCOPE:
∎ EWS-KT aspires to grow its current portfolio and to support this growth operational complexity will be adherent. From a finance point of view KT has different reporting needs than the commercial company, also KT will operate its transactions through a dedicated bank account. The team is growing as well and to adhere to the growth, staff capacity building and other HR related issues need to be addressed. KT is also aiming to establish around 600 plus demos and reach 20,000 farmers each year. The interventions associated with this target requires coordination with vendors, stakeholders and requires administrative support. Finally to register KT BD as an independent entity, KT will have increased engagement with the Government of Bangladesh . In order to undertake all the work effectively EWS-KT needs detailed operational support and needs operational data on a monthly basis which can be used for smarter management decisions. EWS-KT partners/ stakeholders have their own unique reporting requirements which must be fulfilled in order to maintain the flow of project funds.
∎ This position will relieve KT manager and Team lead the significant burden of these operational requirements as well as enabling KT to operate more effectively to achieve the growth.
∎ This position is responsible for:
∎ Effective accounting/ finance operations following GAAP with support of Field finance & operations officer
∎ Guide and support Field finance & operations officer to manage HRIS and HR management addressing the need of staff on daily basis as well as staff capacity
∎ Supervise Field finance and operations officer to manage all admin related activities of KT to achieve the target for 2022 and subsequent years
∎ Supervise and build up capacity of Field finance & operations officer to manage operations at field level and system entries, ensure data integrity in different reports
∎ WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
∎ The KT BD Finance Manager will work closely with Business finance analysts, HRBP, Program Manager and EWIN finance/procurement and will directly report to KT Manager to plan daily tasks. He/ She will also supervise field finance & operations officer to work with system entries. He/She will work exclusively for KT. He/She will work closely with KT manager to nurture relationships with stakeholders especially with NGOAB, GoB, existing donors and potential donors

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial transaction related function:
∎ He/She will supervise/support Field Finance & operations officer to:
∎ Review staff expenses reports (travel expense reports and operational expense reports) for accuracy and completeness and record those on ZOHO system and into Exact system (if have)
∎ Fact-check invoices for payment processing and verify that expense reports have been fully approved before payment
∎ Keep financial records up-to-date and verify these data are correct cost center and unit cost (project)
∎ Follow up with users to submit/clear cash advancement as per due date within 30 days staff will have to submit the bills within one month. Process billing adjustments and refunds
∎ Follow up with TFOs to submit monthly farm material purchase requisition and align with EWIN procurement to get prepared the purchase orders and issued GRN on monthly basis
∎ Count, review and update inventory records once a month, ensuring that inventory matches with purchase orders and verified from end user before releasing payment
∎ Make payments to staffs or vendors against ZOHO reports or invoices issued and make payment entries
∎ File ZOHO expense reports or vouchers on monthly basis
∎ Preparation of bank reconciliation on monthly basis
∎ Lead monthly fund forecasting , YEE, bank statement reconciliation, bank account custody functions, all financial related documentation and custody
∎ Supervise field finance and operations officer to conduct all admin related tasks
∎ Management:
∎ Manage the finance department activities and schedules to meet the financial reporting requirements and deadlines specified by EWS-KT and liaise with external auditors.
∎ Ensure that all policies and procedures are in compliance with EWS-KT's funding source policies, procedures, and requirements
∎ Closely monitor all financial activities, and keep the KT Manager advised of all situations which have the potential for a negative impact on internal controls or financial performance.
∎ Prepare financial reports in respect to accounting, legal and contractual requirements and ensure the approval of such reports by the KT Manager prior to submission.
∎ Maintain current knowledge of local government requirements related to financial matters and ensure compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements
∎ Responsible for managing central level procurement activities and supervising Fin & Ops officer to handle field level procurement activities.
∎ Take lead in preparing ToR, Agreements etc and other related documents with support of KTM
∎ Budget:
∎ Ensure compliance of expense booking in system (TM1, Exact) and matching charts of accounts and budget line for streamlining
∎ Accountable for the preparation and maintenance of EWS-KT Operating Budget, including preparation of budget guidelines to assist program staff and Managers in formulating their program budgets.
∎ Ensuring that all KT intervention stays within budget, assist management in taking decisions to maximize utilization of fund (fund shifting with in budget line items)
∎ Presents and facilitates the review and prepare explanation of monthly actual-to-budget expenditure reports as and when needed with support of KTM, Business Finance analyst
∎ Audit, NGOAB Management related Function:
∎ Spearhead Audit related functions, NGOAB compliances , Partner financial reporting compliance, group reporting, group audit VAT and Tax regulation and ensure reporting to all parties with data integrity with support of Finance and ops officer

Additional Requirements:
∎ Females are encouraged to apply however deserving male candidates would be given preference
∎ At least 3 years' experience in accounting, audit , Vat and tax reporting to NGOAB and NBR
∎ Good knowledge of of local regulation of VAT, TAX, Audit and NGOAB audit
∎ Good computer skills in Excel, Google suite (G Suite)
∎ Good proficiency in English & Bangla, both written and speaking.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Ability to supervise officers using accounting software and generating reports
∎ The candidate must be physically fit as this job requires 70% work to be done Dhaka HQ
∎ and 30% travel to field
