∎ Writing clear, concise, and engaging news stories or features based on research.

∎ Reviewing drafts of articles for grammar, style, accuracy, and tone.
∎ Ensuring that all content aligns with the publication’s editorial guidelines.
∎ Editing the work of other reporters in some cases, ensuring clarity and coherence.
∎ Creating visual content, including photography, videos, or graphics.
∎ Engaging in live reporting and broadcasts, especially in the case of broadcast journalists.
∎ Writing and editing for web-based platforms, including blogging, social media, and podcasts.
∎ Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in current events and industry trends.
∎ Monitoring social media and other news sources to gather breaking news.
∎ Analyzing news and its implications for the audience.
