Experience:

• Good knowledge of computer systems, servers/storage, networking hardware, peripherals.

• Experience with diagnosing hardware faults, performing repairs, replacement of parts.

• Familiarity with maintenance tools, diagnostic software, firmware/BIOS updates.

• Understanding of safety practices, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), and working with electrical components safely.

• Basic knowledge of wiring, power systems, UPS, and backup power infrastructure.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent repair needs

• Good communication skills – able to coordinate with other teams, report status, document clearly

• Time management; prioritizing urgent vs non urgent repairs

• Carry out regular inspections of IT hardware (servers, PCs, networking, storage, printers, etc.) to identify potential faults or failures.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce risk of system breakdowns; e.g. cleaning, firmware updates, inspections, testing.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, wiring, and peripheral device problems; repair or replace faulty components.

• Maintain network infrastructure: switches, routers, access points, firewalls, cabling – checking connections, power supplies, etc.

• Maintain and ensure IP cameras and CCTV recordings along with NVR/DVR and POE setup.

• Design, implement and maintain network systems LAN, WAN, Internet security, VPN, Internet connectivity products (switches, Mikrotik routers, firewalls, storage backup, access control).

• Configure (DNS, Active Directory, File Server, Web Server, FTP, TCP/IP) for IT support.

• Ensure data backup system maintenance while conducting disaster recovery planning

• Must be technically proficient in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues and determining the source of computer problems and providing possible solutions.

• Maintain documentation: equipment specifications, repair logs, maintenance schedules, warranty information.

• Collaborate with other teams (network, security, operations) to coordinate maintenance activities, minimizing disruption.

• Follow safety and regulatory guidelines (electrical safety, ESD protection, environmental requirements) during maintenance.

• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repair support if required.
