- Applications are invited for the Indoor Medical Officer posts of the following Department at Prime Medical College and Hospital, Rangpur.
- Medicine/ Surgery/Gynecology & Obstetrics/ Pediatrics/ Cardiology/ Orthopedics/ Psychiatry/ Ophthalmology/ Urology/ Medical Oncology/ Dermatology/ENT / ICU/ Respiratory & Chest
Responsibilities & Context:
- Responsible for any department or indoor unit/ward including sub-specialty and emergency department as assigned.
- Responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant and also to advise investigations, which are urgent.
- Daily rounds of the admitted indoor patients in the wards and assess them for treatment as deemed fit by his/her consultant and review them regularly.
- Responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised and to check the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications, considering all precautions.
- Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when necessary and to take appropriate initiatives in Medical and Surgical emergencies when required.
- Preparation of discharge summaries well in time and briefing the patient about the medications on discharge.
- Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to junior physicians and interns.
- Ensure the maintenance of highest standards in patient care.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Be able to perform and assist surgeons in OT as and when required.
- Must know the techniques of counseling patients, breaking bad news and possess essential soft skills.
- Must maintain healthy relationship with other departments for smooth hospital service.
