Experience:

• Bachelor/Honors

• Graduated/Diploma in Agriculture from any recognized Educational Institution.

• At least 3 years

• At least 3-year experience in NGO field related to IGA intervention implementation.
• Working experiences on MNH related project will be preferable.
• Age & Educational qualification can be relaxed for highly qualified candidate·

RDRS Bangladesh is inviting application for the position of IGA Facilitator under Strengthening Maternal & Neonatal Health system in Rangpur Project (SMNHSR). This project is implementing in Rangpur and Lalmonirhat District supported by Save The Children International (SCI) .

The IGA Facilitator will implement the income-generating activities in line with project and donor requirements and documentation for further scale-up. S/He will be managing the intervention through directly reportable to District Coordinator for day-to-day activities and technical guidance of Technical Specialist-Local Government Coordination and MNH Coordinator.  As a part of the community mobilization/awareness activity through IGA (Income Generating Activity) household visit for selecting potential family for IGA to maximize the benefit from such intensive activities, we will carefully target the locations where the largest numbers of target families can be reached and avoiding overlapping with others organization.

IGA Facilitator will play a significant role to successfully execution of intervention composed with various activities focusing pregnant mothers and their household through increase household income to secure prenatal and postnatal care and facility delivery services. Support of process documentation and ensuring data/information management with different tools (case story, success story, etc.) will is one of the focus areas for the job role. 

• Community mapping of upazila/district using tools for selecting potential household for providing IGA support.

• Select potential household for IGA support proper documentation.Maintain profile of household and pregnant mother throughout the intervention period.

• Identify potential IGA activities with feasibility and market demand.

• Regular household visit and conduct group meeting of IGA supported household.

• Organized capacity building initiatives for the selected household.

• Linkage IGA household with GoB relevant service providers (Fisheries, Agriculture etc.).

• Ensure linkage among IGA supported Household, Local Government Institutions (LGIs), local service providers and market.Ensure linkage pregnant mother of IGA supported households with public health facilities.

• Provide need-based support on related skill development and market linkage.

• Ensure participation of the household at awareness raising activities on MNH.

• Tracking all IGA supported pregnant mother regarding ANC, Delivery and PNC services.

• Regular data/information collection for progress tracking and learning.Prepare case study, success story and MSC (Most Significant Change) story.

• Maintain communication with GoB stakeholders (Health, Family planning and LGIs) and community leaders in coordination with Officer-Capacity Building and Officer- Government Relation & Community Mobilization.

• Advocacy with respected Govt. stakeholders at Upazila and union level to ensure MNH specific supports for the beneficiaries.Maintain all relevant documents systematically for ensuring transparency and accountability.
