Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the design of HP Needs Assessments tools;
∎ Identify gaps in terms of HP;
∎ Support the translation of questionnaires into Chittagonian;
∎ Carry out the KAP survey;
∎ Develop the waste and HP messages and campaigns;
∎ Support the design of a waste management system;
∎ Support and manage the assessment team and liaison officers;
∎ Draft assessment reports on demand;
∎ Design monitoring tools;
∎ Sites visits.
∎ Collect qualitative and quantitative data and elaborate reports accordingly;
∎ Produce sitreps on a regular basis;
∎ Oral reports and constant communication with the WASH Manager;
∎ Flag and report any abuse or security issue in the community;
∎ The Wash Hygiene Promotion officer will support the WASH Manager to assess and implement the activities in the project's locations in Cox's Bazar and Teknaf districts.
∎ Monitor and report any population movements
∎ Support the logistics department to select suppliers and/or service providers;
∎ Support the logistics department to identify goods and supplies with the needed specifications;
∎ Liaise with local authorities (army and mazhis especially), other NGOs, the WASH cluster and the UN in coordination with the WASH Manager.
∎ Support the WASH Manager during the hiring process of new staff;
∎ Train the newly hired officers and volunteers;
∎ Identify and manage daily workers.
∎ Support the planning of waste and hygiene campaignsn as well as waste management service;
∎ Monitor the implementation of campaigns and services provision as well as waste disposal;
∎ Monitor the works and ensure that the works advance according to timeline and the specifications
∎ Provide guidance and correct any implementation problem with the service providers and/or supplier
∎ Ensure that the GPS coordinates are marked as needed;
∎ Organise distributions of NFIs;
∎ Manage and check the distribution database in coordination with the WASH Manager.
∎ Ensure that the contractor safeguards the safety of his employees and the community.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience with the Rohingya refugee crisis;
∎ Efficient with multimedia and sensibilization techniques;
∎ Knowledge of waterborne diseases;
∎ Experience with team Management;
∎ Negotiation and communication skills with local authorities and army;
∎ English, Bangla and Chittagonian spoken and written.
∎ Agree to comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and promote Child Safeguarding policy, Policy on the Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and the Policy on (Sexual) Harassment and Abuse of Authority.
∎ Report serious cases of abuse on children that she/he would be aware of in Tdh's intervention locations. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
∎ Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
∎ Tdh intervenes without any affiliation for politics, religion or financial profit. He/she will direct his or her activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation.
Salary: Tk. 33569 - 53990 (Monthly)
